Multiple Paint Colors in One Interior Space

One way you can add interest and character to a room is to use multiple paint colors and use them in unexpected ways. Many of us have an “accent” wall to bring color to a room, but there are other ideas you can use. Wainscot or a chair rail makes a natural break for a color change, and ceilings don’t have to be just white! Here are a couple photos showing some ideas. You’ll see three colors on one wall; one color on wainscot, one color for the chair rail and one color above the rail. In the other photo you’ll see a neutral wall color, white crown molding, and a dark rich ceiling color.
